While owning and running an international, award-winning marketing agency David, his wife and 2 sons embarked on a 2 year global educational odyssey.  They home-schooled their sons and traveled to 7 countries on 3 continents on over 24 trips to over 100 destinations traveling over 110,000 km.  They would travel for no more than 4 weeks at a time, then return and David would run the business, then they would leave again at a later date.  Over the course of 2 years David was away from his business for a total of 6 months.  During this time David and his wife led their sons in writing and illustrating children’s books that they sold to raise money for orphans and endangered animals.  David’s global educational odyssey, the books his sons published, and the charitable work they did captured national media attention in Canada.
